Operation Christmas Child Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. During a field trip to an Operation Christmas Child distribution warehouse, our students experience first-hand the complexities and impact this program has. In 2008, our elementary school alone brought in over 1000 Christmas boxes!
Each year we participate in this state-wide program to donate coats to families who are in need.
This is an annual event where elementary students compete to see which class can bring in the most coins. Elementary students save and scheme all year to vie for the winning class pizza party prize. The money that is raised goes towards supporting the fifth grade service project. In 2008, the Penny War brought in over $4000!!
