 Operation Christmas Childfifth-grade-leadership-northern-colorado-chrisitian-school

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. During a field trip to an Operation Christmas Child distribution warehouse, our students experience first-hand the complexities and impact this program has. In 2008, our elementary school alone brought in over 1000 Christmas boxes!

Coats for Colorado

Each year we participate in this state-wide program to donate coats to families who are in need.

Penny Warspenny-war

This is an annual event where elementary students compete to see which class can bring in the most coins. Elementary students save and scheme all year to vie for the winning class pizza party prize. The money that is raised goes towards supporting the fifth grade service project.  In 2008, the Penny War brought in over $4000!!

International Outreach

Part of our Mission Statement is focused on being “Globally Prepared.” Being prepared starts with being aware of the needs around the globe. We have a heart for outreach both in our communities and abroad. Our current international outreach initiatives include:

  • Supporting schools in Chile, South America, and Raya Kota, India.
  • Supporting an orphanage in China, where we lead special projects. For example, our fifth graders one year raised money for children needing cleft pallet surgeries.
  • Supporting and encouraging our military. Each class in our elementary school sends letters and banners, providing encouragement and hope for soldiers in Iraq.
