RCS Board of Directors

The RCS Board of Directors serves as the governing body for Resurrection Christian School. We operate using a policy governance model in which the Board defines, and oversees, the strategic objectives and outcomes (Ends) and the parameters for achieving those ends, (Policies and Executive Limitations) for the school’s Chief Executive Office (the Superintendent).  This process and our policies are contained in the RCS Board Policy Manual.

The Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws provide the legal framework for RCS. This includes Board membership and meeting requirements, Superintendent and Staff employment requirements, as well as the RCS Statement of Faith.  The Board periodically reviews and prayerfully updates the Board Policy Manual and the RCS Bylaws.

Board Member Meetings

We encourage RCS community members to attend Board meetings and pray together with us for the school. School Board meetings are conducted monthly during the school year, from September to June, generally on the first Wednesday of the month starting at 12:30 p.m. Please check the RCS Events Calendar or call the school office to find out when the next regular meeting occurs and which room it’s scheduled in.

All are welcome to attend the beginning portion of each meeting. During this time, those in attendance will pray together, review the agenda, and handle any business that is open to the public. After this, the Board meets in Executive Session, which is closed to the public. Though not required, please let us know if you plan to attend the meeting so we can plan accordingly.

If you have something you would like to bring before the board that is personal/private to you, please send us an email (RCSBoard@rcschool.org) with details so we can determine the best way to handle your inquiry, request or input. If your matter is best handled as an Executive Session topic, you will be invited to join the Executive Session portion of an upcoming meeting.

To contact the board directly, please send an email to: RCSBoard@rcschool.org. We always appreciate your feedback, input and prayers!
