I came to RCS in the Spring of 2006 and from day one being a part of RCS has been the most rewarding personal, professional, and spiritual journey of my life. I was born in Hugo, Colorado and raised in the beautiful town of Buena Vista, Colorado. I had the privilege of being recruited by Colorado State University to play football, where I received my BS in Mathematic, Secondary Education. (Go RAMS) I started teaching math and coaching in 1990 and got my first administrative job in Elizabeth, Colorado as the District Athletic Director in 1996. After my position in Elizabeth, I served two different principal positions in Jefferson County School District (Green Mountain High School) and Douglas County School District (Chaparral High School) before taking the superintendent position at RCS in 2006. We took this position and left public education because we felt an amazingly clear call and direction from God.
I finished my Master of Arts in Education from University of Phoenix in 1999, Pastoral Ordination in 2007, and John Maxwell Leadership Certification program in 2013. I love seeing Jesus build people up and having the opportunity to see the impact and growth of RCS over the past years has fulfilled a life long goal of building a legacy, living a legacy, and leaving a legacy.
I have been married to SuzAnne, also a teacher at RCS, since 1996 and we have two boys, John and David. We have poured our lives into RCS because we believe the education of the whole child around excellence and raising them with true integration of the Bible, will change and impact the world. I believe our mission is critical and as we work together with our amazing parents, I know we can accomplish this impact. I love this community, the staff, the parents and our partnership with Rez.Church. As we look to Christ for direction and keep these critical relationships, I believe God has amazing things planned for RCS.
RCS Preschool was born in March of 2000 and I am blessed to say I have been the director since the conception! We started the preschool with 20 kiddos, 4 staff members, and an offering of $1300. We now have over 20 staff members and 320 students! Our first preschool students are now in college and starting their careers and families. What a joy to watch them come full circle!
I was raised in a small town in Connecticut, and yes, a NY Yankee fan, until the Rockies began in 1993. I met my husband, Scott, at Fort Collins High School in 1979, and we have been together ever since! We have three grown children and 8 AMAZING grandchildren, 4 of whom attend RCS. This school has been a blessing to me personally and professionally for almost 20 years.
The RCS staff has a heart for God and a passion to train children up in the ways of the Lord, as well as excelling in academics! I love to watch the preschool staff connect the heart of the child to the heart of The Father and give them the best first school experience! What a joy and honor it is to advance His kingdom through education!
Welcome to the RCS Elementary Cougar family! As Elementary Principal, I can truly say that I love what I do, where I do it, and who I do it with. Over the past 30 years I’ve worked in the field of education in three different states, teaching grades 1-5, then as an Academic Coach, Assistant Principal, and Principal, and have experienced RCS to be an exceptional school in every conceivable way. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University, with a minor in reading instruction, and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Northern Colorado.
My husband Bruce and I have been married since 1990, and Bruce is one of the pastors at Christ Community Church in Greeley. Our son Adam and is wife Sara live in Johnstown, and our daughter Emma is a student at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs. If you really want to get me fired-up, talk to me about the Chicago Blackhawks or the Chicago Cubs!
My deepest desire is to partner closely with our elementary team in helping each child to get the highest quality of education possible while leading them to embrace a biblical worldview. I am also passionate about nurturing every child’s spiritual life so they will be motivated to pursue a deep, personal relationship with the Lord. I’m blessed to serve in partnership with a marvelously gifted teaching staff. I take seriously my leadership role in equipping them in research-based, quality instruction, while fanning into flame the unique educator that God has created each of them to be.
As RCS continues to grow, my prayer is that we will continue to cherish the highly-relational, family-oriented environment that has been our strength for so many years. I long for every RCS family to know that they matter, they are an integral part of our school community, and that together we can make an eternal, loving impact in the life of their child.
Welcome to Middle Earth! (a.k.a. Middle School) Students in grades 6-8 are the most fun, most interesting, and most spontaneous! If you have a middle schooler you know what I mean and if you don’t yet, you will! I am in my second year at RCS and very much enjoy the staff and students of the middle school. We are a family and a team working with students and parents as we develop them as independent, young adults. Many kids at this age are just beginning to understand what a relationship with Christ truly means and we are privileged to see that happen in our students!
This is my 8th year in Christian Education, 14th year in school administration, and 24th year in education. I have worked in schools in California, Minnesota, and now Colorado. I am an Eagle Scout and earned a California Distinguished School Award with my first school as a principal in 2008. I have an AA degree in Liberal Arts, BA degree in Liberal Studies/Education, and MS degree in Educational Administration. I have teaching and administrative credentials in California, Washington, Minnesota, and Colorado. I have developed an outdoor education course for middle schoolers at my previous school and various student recognition, leadership, and service opportunities for our students.
I have been married to my wife, Lisa, for 29 years and we have two adult children. Our son is currently serving in the United States Air Force and our daughter is attending CSU completing her BA degree. We love the outdoor opportunities in Colorado hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, etc. I love digital photography, playing the guitar (over 38 years), riding my road bike, and exploring my new state! My wife and I have served in music ministry at various churches we have attended for 30 years. God opened the door of Christian education to me in 2010 and I have been blessed to be a part of this community. I felt called to RCS because of the impact it is having on the Northern Colorado Community and the role I can play in developing our students academically, emotionally and spiritually.
I am looking forward to expanding several areas of the middle school this year including our DENS classes, student recognition programs (#ultimatecougar), Student Council, Grade Level Trips, and service project opportunities. Our middle school chapels will continue to focus on real life learning and opportunities for Christ to be real to our students and their families. Please come by the middle school office or set up an appointment if you would like to know more about us and RCS Middle School.
Greetings from RCS community!
This is my seventh year as the high school principal at RCS, and I am so very thankful to be here. I feel so incredibly blessed that God lead me to RCS to be a part of His Kingdom work. It never ceases to amaze me how God purposely weaves together staff and families, so that we can partner in raising up a generation who will impact the 21st century for Christ.
With undergraduate studies in science and pre-med, I spent several years pursuing a career in the medical field. I actually had aspirations of becoming an epidemiologist who would travel around the world to eliminate infectious diseases! It did not take me long to realize, however, that God had another plan for my life. After earning an advanced degree in education from Colorado Christian University, I spent time in various aspects of public education before being offered a position in a Christian school in south Denver. This was new territory for me, being in a position to openly share my faith with students every day. I loved it from the beginning and still love it today!
I encourage you to seek God’s plans for your children’s education through their formative years. If you believe that RCS is part of His master plan, we will come alongside you in preparing them for all that God has in store.
Hello! Thank you for investing in your child’s education and life by visiting our website! It’s an honor that you are looking into our school to partner with your family.
I grew up in Denver and then went off to Baylor University in Waco, Texas where I met my beautiful wife. We have our first baby boy on the way at the end of January!
I graduated with a double major in Marketing as well as Professional Selling. I worked for several years in corporate sales in Texas as well as in Northern Colorado. What this ultimately means is I have a passion and calling to connect people’s needs and desires to their best possible solutions and providers.
God called me out of corporate sales to come work for RCS to help the amazing NoCo community connect with His work at our school. It’s my job to help anyone wanting a quality Christian education to see if RCS is the right fit and home for them.
Come check us out!
Hello and welcome to RCS! I am excited to be starting my first full school year at RCS as the Director of Development, having started last February.
I am proud to be a Northern Colorado Native. My husband Dave works in the Dairy Equipment business, and together we are raising our four children- an RCS 7th grader, 6th grader, 4th grader and preschooler- on the same property and in the same house where I grew up.
I graduated from Colorado State University (Go Rams!) with a BA in Social Sciences and have worked in the Northern Colorado nonprofit sector since 2002 in various roles at United Way of Larimer County, McKee Medical Center Foundation, and Immanuel Lutheran School prior to my current role at RCS.
I am inspired by passionate, generous, committed people who serve others through their gifts of time, talent and treasure. RCS is FULL of inspiring stories, transformative gifts, and passionate volunteers. I love partnering with others to raise up kids who are Boldly Christian, Academically Equipped and Globally Prepared and will change the world in Jesus’ name!
I have a deep desire and a calling to help people align their passions with opportunities to be generous and am incredibly blessed to be doing what I love with the RCS family!
Hello! I have worked at RCS as the director of security and maintenance since 2014, and it has been my favorite job!
Born in Colorado, I was raised in Aurora, graduating from Overland high school. I then went to Fort Lewis College on a soccer scholarship.
I have a beautiful wife and two amazing daughters who have attended RCS since 5th and 6th grade. They are both in high school now. I also serve as the high school girl’s soccer head coach and will lead them victory!!!
RCS is a fantastic school. I love the fact that one moment I could be fixing HVAC, and the next, leading a kid to Jesus for their first time. I come to work in order every day to have the opportunity to minister to families.
Hello and welcome to RCS! I have worked at RCS as both a consultant and Director of Technology for 19 years. My wife, Karen, also works here in the Finance Department. Both of our kids have attended RCS with our youngest graduating in 2017.
We moved to Colorado in 1998 after working at Intel in Arizona for 15 years. It was important for us to provide our kids with a Christian education, which is how we found RCS.
Working here and having our kids attend RCS has truly been a blessing. The camaraderie of the staff has provided a safe and loving environment for our family. Both of our kids are now in college and feel they were very well prepared after attending RCS.
We are so thankful that God led us to RCS!
